
Barb Morton, RNC, APRN, is our counseling resource for people facing cancer. She has been part of the oncology community since starting the Cancer Resource Center in the early 1980s. Barb is a Registered Nurse, certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Physician’s Assistant. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and University of North Dakota.

A cancer survivor herself, Barb combines compassion and empathy with a medical background, helping people adjust to new challenges. Finding a safe haven to sort out complex medical information, explore emotions and gain strength is an important part of cancer treatment and survival. As patients adjust to their physical needs, Barb guides them and their families through the emotional healing process.
On a personal level, Barb is passionate about antiques, travel, and enjoying time with her husband and daughter, friends and her canine companions.
