SNCC actively supports local cancer advocacy groups and events, as well as encouraging our community to support cancer patients and their family support networks. Key activities include:

• Relay for Life American Cancer Society (ACS), including events held in:
  • Lancaster County
  • Gage County
  • York County
  • Jefferson County
  • Seward County
  • Nemaha County
  • Richardson County
  • Doane College Relay

• Light the Night, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)
• Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (ACS)
• Football 101, event raising funds for cancer research, sponsored by the Bo Pelini Foundation
• Hope Gala, a special fund-raising event (ACS)
• Bag Lady Social (ACS)
• Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament (ACS)
• Cancer Survivors Day, coordinated by the Cancer Resource Center

In addition, SNCC founded the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Foundation to help fill needed gaps in local resources for cancer patients in our community.
